Ahhh Freedom, where have you gone?

Imagine having to purchase sex toys out of some creepy guys trunk on some dark corner of town...suddenly, a big spotlight hits you right in the face and some voice on the loudspeaker demands for you to drop the toy and put your hands on your head! What kind of archaic third world country is this? Who would treat their citizens with no rights, and make law abiding citizens pay thousands of dollars in fines, and repeat offenders spend up to 10 years in prison?!? Well, if you said Alabama, you would be correct.  That's right, here in the good 'ol US of A there are laws in place that prohibit purchasing and owning sex toys, with fines running as high as $10,000.

"But that's crazy!" you're probably saying, "there's no way a law like that would still be on the books...".  Actually, the latest ruling against it came less than a year ago. And there have been many attempts on repealing the ban, but each time it gets shot down.

The reason I bring this up, is because laws like these don't make any sense, and it's sad that the government wants to impose their will on their people and sexually oppress the masses. People wonder how there is such little education when it comes to sex and then find out that one of the most harmless outlets for self pleasure turns out to be a crime.  I feel bad for people in places like Jakarta, Indonesia, where women have to sneak around in order to buy any type of sexually related material, because religion of the area prevents it, and sex is considered inappropriate for women, and a mans privilege. Maybe its time to question exactly why having fun is so frowned upon.                                           

To brighten things up a little bit, there have been strides toward more open sexuality in the past 20-30 years, and if you ask any old man over 75 about how the youth today is out of control, deep down they probably are bitter that they aren't in their prime while girls are running around in short shirts, and even shorter shorts.
